SYRACUSE, NY – The Syracuse Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division has recently charged 48-year-old Timothy D. Palms in connection with the death of John D. Colucci. On Wednesday, March 1, officers responded to a residence on Greenland Drive to investigate an assault. There, they found the 62-year-old Colucci suffering from a head injury, having been struck in the head.

Colucci was taken to Upstate Hospital for medical treatment. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, his condition worsened, and he passed away on June 27 due to his injuries.

The Criminal Investigation Division and Homicide detectives conducted an extensive investigation, interviewing numerous individuals and executing search warrants. As a result, they identified Palms as the suspect. He was arrested at his home without incident and transported to the Criminal Investigation Division, before being lodged in the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Palms now faces charges of First Degree Manslaughter and Third Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
