Syracuse Police Seize Illegal ATVs Upsetting After Neighborhood Complaints

SYRACUSE, NY—The Syracuse Police Department’s ATV Detail made significant strides in their ongoing efforts to curb illegal ATV activity in the city. On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, officers successfully seized four ATVs, underscoring the department’s zero-tolerance policy against such violations.

The city police have emphasized that individuals found operating ATVs illegally on city streets will face arrest and a local law violation charge. First-time offenders can expect a $500 fine in addition to substantial redemption fees for the recovery of seized vehicles.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to maintain public safety and order on the streets of Syracuse, especially as the summer months approach. The Syracuse Police Department also expressed gratitude towards the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and the support provided by Air One in these operations. The ATV Detail will continue its enforcement actions throughout the upcoming season.
