**Wilkes-Barre, PA** – On Thursday, an assault incident occurred on West Maple Street involving two local residents.

At approximately 7:25 a.m., officers from Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they encountered a 25-year-old female victim who reported a verbal altercation with a 27-year-old male defendant, identified as Kwame Griggs.

The victim stated the altercation arose due to the defendant returning home intoxicated. During the dispute, she alleged that the defendant struck her multiple times.

Following the victim’s report, Griggs was taken into custody. He was subsequently transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment.

**Boston, MA** – On Wednesday, at approximately 12:45 PM, officers from District E-5 (West Roxbury) arrested Brendan Donovan, 45, of South Boston, on multiple firearm-related charges.

A detective on patrol observed a person on a scooter, who was carrying a duffel bag, run a red light in the area of Centre Street and Lorette Street. The scooter continued onto the sidewalk towards Temple Street and parked at 7 Spring Street.

The detective also noticed two masked individuals walking from the same location and tracked them as they met Donovan behind an unoccupied van in a parking lot. The detective and a beat officer approached the group, whereupon a firearm was seen in Donovan’s waistband; it was later identified as a less lethal CO2 firearm.

Additional officers arrived, removed Donovan from the scooter, and checked the duffle bag, discovering an AR-15 Camouflage Assault Rifle and a bag of Fentanyl. Donovan was arrested and will face several charges in West Roxbury District Court, including unlawful firearm possession and possession of class A substances.

Martinez-Morales was arrested by State Police Detectives and brought to Troop 2. She faced multiple charges, including Official Misconduct and Possession of a Controlled Substance, and was released on a $3,500 unsecured bond after arraignment at Justice of the Peace Court 11.

**UTICA, NY** – On March 20th at approximately 6:45 PM, Utica Police responded to a report of a menacing incident on the 900 block of Schuyler Street.

Upon arrival, police spoke with individuals who reported a familiar male had displayed violent behavior outside a residence. The suspect left the scene but soon returned wielding a large knife, threatening the parties involved.

The victims retreated into their home and secured the door, but the suspect attempted to break in by smashing glass windows. Afterward, he left and entered a nearby residence where officers subsequently located him.

The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Somxay Sysamouth of Utica, was taken into custody without incident. A meat cleaver style knife was recovered as the weapon used in the alleged offense. Sysamouth faces charges including two counts of menacing in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

On Tuesday, at around 3:31 p.m., troopers were alerted to an alleged road rage-related assault on North Dupont Highway near Market Place. Reports indicate that a Subaru Forester was involved in a confrontation with a dark-colored pickup truck. When the Subaru stopped behind the pickup in the left turn lane, the truck’s driver approached the Subaru with an unknown metal tool, allegedly breaking the driver’s side window and striking the victim’s face. The suspect then returned to his vehicle and fled the scene.

Towson police arrest two suspects in string of armed robberies

Towson Robbery Suspects Arrested

**Baltimore, MD** – Detectives from Precinct 6 – Towson have apprehended two suspects involved in recent armed robberies in Towson. Both suspects, a juvenile and an adult, were involved in incidents where victims, local students, were approached, held at gunpoint, and demanded to surrender their valuables.

Community-provided information helped detectives create a suspect description following the robberies. Surveillance near York Road and Aigburth Road led detectives to locate and apprehend the alleged suspects.

**Stafford, VA** – A gathering at a residence under renovation was interrupted by local deputies on Sunday night. Around 8:57 p.m., Sergeant E.E. West, Deputy C.A. Sharp, Deputy X.D. Bates, and Deputy J.J. Holetzky responded to a disturbance in the Foxwood Village subdivision.

The residence, which was not supposed to be occupied, was found to have several individuals inside. The suspects attempted to flee when deputies shone flashlights on them, leading to a foot chase.

The first suspect surrendered after realizing he could not outrun the deputies. All suspects but one were identified. Inside the residence, deputies found several cans of Four Loko, and it was discovered that only one of the suspects was of legal drinking age, at 21 years old.

Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a report at a residence on Lloyds Lane. Upon their arrival, officers contacted a 35-year-old male victim.

The victim reported an altercation with Normedis Arevalo, the defendant, who allegedly threw furniture, striking him in the back. Additionally, Arevalo reportedly scratched the victim’s neck and placed her hands around his neck.

Subsequently, the defendant was taken into custody and transported to City Headquarters. Arevalo is to face processing and arraignment for the incident.

Arrest Made in Mattapan Murder Case

**Boston, MA** – On Thursday at approximately 7:15 PM, law enforcement officials arrested Shovan Darby, 29, of East Weymouth. He was apprehended near 4 Astoria Street by members of the Fugitive Unit, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and officers from District B-3 in Mattapan. Darby is wanted on an arrest warrant from Dorchester District Court for the murder of Mauricio M. Lawrence, 33, of Mattapan. The arraignment of the suspect in Dorchester District Court is anticipated.

Another individual, Roberto Taylor, 29, from Dorchester, has been charged with murder and multiple firearm-related offenses. Taylor remains in custody due to separate charges.

The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, around 11:30 PM. Officers from District B-3 responded to a report of a person shot at 35 Tennis Road, Mattapan. Upon arrival, they found Mauricio M. Lawrence suffering from a gunshot wound. The Boston EMS pronounced Lawrence deceased while en route to Boston Medical Center.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is still investigating the case.

**Frederick, MD** – On Monday, a road rage incident involving a firearm on West Patrick Street and Old Camp Drive led to the arrest of a suspect by Frederick Police Department. Officials recovered a loaded Sig Sauer P365 handgun from the suspect’s vehicle. It was confirmed that the suspect did not have a valid permit to carry a handgun.

The suspect, identified as David Wayne Styles Jr., was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He faces charges including first and second-degree assault, assault weapon/magazine use, firearm use in a felony/violent crime, and carrying a loaded handgun in a vehicle. Styles Jr. is currently held without bond.

**Severn, MD** – On Thursday, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police conducted a traffic stop involving a gray Honda Cross-tour at the intersection of Golden Eagle Lane and Redhawk Way.

The driver, Thomas Lee Gross, was identified as previously wanted in connection with a citizen robbery. Upon the attempted stop, Gross fled the vehicle on foot but was captured a short distance away without incident.

A subsequent search of the Honda Cross-tour revealed a significant amount of narcotics and cash. Police seized about 13 pills of suspected Oxycodone, 11.5 pills of Alprazolam, 23 pills of MDMA, roughly 1 ounce of Promethazine, 16.73 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, approximately 913.27 grams of Cannabis, and $2,717 in cash.

Thomas Lee Gross, a 24-year-old male from Severn, Maryland, was arrested and is now facing charges related to the incident.
