DUI Arrest Made Following Citizen Report

**Stafford, VA** – Authorities in Stafford County detained a local man for driving under the influence and possession of drugs and a firearm following a citizen’s report.

Late on Wednesday, around 11:58 p.m., Deputy P.J. Leon responded to a complaint of a drunk driver near Poplar Road and Truslow Road. The vehicle was struggling to stay within the lane. Deputy Leon located the vehicle, noted its erratic movement, and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver, identified as Keith Kerns, 40, exhibited signs of narcotics use and was found to be carrying a firearm. The deputy secured the firearm before performing field sobriety tests. Subsequent to these tests, Kerns was detained when suspected controlled substances were found in his jacket and vehicle.

Kerns faces charges for driving under the influence, possession of controlled substances, possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled substances, and failure to maintain the lane of travel. He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail with a $3,000 secured bond.

**Baltimore, MD** – Western District patrol officers arrested a suspect following a carjacking incident that occurred on Monday. Officers responded to a report of the incident at around 2:41 a.m. in the 2400 block of West North Avenue.

A 31-year-old male ride-share driver was assaulted by a male passenger. Following the assault, the victim exited the vehicle, and the suspect drove away with it.

Officers received a detailed description of the stolen vehicle and found it on Presbury Street. A 20-year-old suspect was apprehended after a short foot chase.

The suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. Charges were filed as per the standard procedures.

**Secaucus, NJ** – Secaucus Police recently apprehended two individuals in connection with fencing stolen automobile parts.

On December 30, Secaucus Police found a 2015 Honda CRV missing multiple parts, reported stolen from Weehawken on December 28. The officers were initially responding to reports of an abandoned vehicle on the 500 block of New County Road.

On Monday, police discovered a 2023 Acura TLX missing several components. It was located on the 200 block of Secaucus Road and was reported stolen from Kenilworth on December 31.

Undercover detectives arranged a purchase of the stolen Acura parts, leading to the arrest of Jarol Vasquez-Puig and Freddy Mendoza-Polanco on Wednesday. The operation took place outside Vasquez-Puig’s residence in Jersey City.

Detectives subsequently searched Vasquez-Puig’s home and recovered several stolen automotive parts and a motorcycle reported stolen from Jersey City on December 6. Both men face numerous charges including receiving stolen property and fencing. The investigation remains active, with further arrests possible. Atlantic City Police Arrest Two in Narcotics Case

**Atlantic City, NJ** – The Atlantic City Police Department arrested Jameel Stephens, 42, and Shamera Dunston-Marrero, 25, following an investigation into narcotics distribution. The pair had been wanted since early December.

On December 3, detectives from the Special Investigations Section executed a court-authorized search of a residence and vehicle on the 400 block of South Carolina Avenue. They discovered over 1.34 pounds of cocaine, 21 grams of heroin, more than two ounces of MDMA, over $16,000 in cash, and drug paraphernalia intended for narcotics distribution. Stephens and Dunston-Marrero were not apprehended at the scene, but charges were filed, and warrants were issued for their arrests.

On Thursday, Detective Ermindo Marsini, with assistance from the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office, located the suspects in Pleasantville and successfully took them into custody. Both individuals face charges including possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances, money laundering, maintaining a CDS production facility, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police Arrest Suspect in Narcotics Case

**Galloway Township, NJ** – A narcotics arrest took place early Saturday when Officer Rao observed suspicious activity in a parking lot on Brigantine Blvd. The situation unfolded around 4:22 a.m. as a vehicle without a front license plate left the area, catching Rao’s attention.

Officer Rao, along with Officer Sofield, stopped the vehicle at the 4300 Block of Brigantine Blvd. During this stop, Rao’s observations led him to suspect further criminal activity by the vehicle’s occupants. This suspicion prompted a request for a narcotics detection K9.

Officer LaSassa and K9 Evo of the Galloway Township Police Department arrived to assist with the situation. K9 Evo detected the presence of narcotics, leading to a search that uncovered suspected cocaine and Codeine.

Subsequently, Sharod Gillard-Twitty from Middlesex, NJ, was apprehended and charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was released on a summons pending a court date.

**Allentown, PA** – On Thursday, the Allentown Police Department responded to an armed carjacking incident around 4:16 PM near the intersection of North 14th Street and Turner Street. Following the report, patrol officers from the department were promptly dispatched to the scene.

During the investigation, officers from the 1st platoon identified the stolen vehicle in operation. A brief vehicle pursuit unfolded on site. The suspects attempted to flee the scene on foot.
