Pennsylvania Woman Arraigned on Multiple Charges Including Arson

**Surf City, NJ -** Juliette Tournier, 29, from Montgomery, Pennsylvania, has been charged with Aggravated Arson in relation to a February 19 incident in Surf City. This follows prior charges in Ship Bottom on February 20 for Eluding and Receiving Stolen Property.

On February 19 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Surf City emergency services responded to a fire on North Central Avenue. During firefighting efforts, a firefighter was injured, treated at Southern Ocean Medical Center, and discharged.

Investigations by various agencies revealed two fire origins within the structure, both initiated by open flames to ignitable liquids. Concurrently, a vehicle stop initiated by Ship Bottom Police involving a Honda HRV led to Tournier’s identification as the suspect, with the car’s license plate stolen earlier from a similar vehicle in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

On February 25, Tournier received an Aggravated Arson charge. She surrendered to Surf City Police the next day and remains detained pending a hearing. Authorities emphasize that all accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Bensalem, PA – Arson Suspect Arrested After Blaze Destroys Home and Endangers Residents

On Monday, February 10, at 5:22 a.m., Bensalem Township Police and the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department responded to a dwelling fire on the 5200 block of Merganser Way. Fire services discovered six adult residents who had evacuated, some escaping from second-story windows. The fire resulted in the total loss of the two-story single-family dwelling, while two dogs perished and all six adults were hospitalized with injuries.

Investigation by Bensalem Fire Rescue and Bensalem Police Detectives revealed the fire was deliberately set. Surveillance footage captured a black sedan arriving at the scene at 5:01 a.m.; an individual is seen approaching the residence and returning to the car 15 minutes later. Following the suspect’s departure, smoke appeared from the rear yard followed by a large explosion. The surveillance provided investigators with an image of the black sedan.

Detectives utilized Automated License Plate Readers to trace the 2021 black Volkswagen Passat, registered to Brian Jones from Rockford, Michigan. The investigation revealed Harrison Jones, the ex-boyfriend of a planned visitor to the Merganser Way home

Allegheny County Fire Incident Leads to Arrest

**Turtle Creek, PA** – County police have filed charges following a fire incident in Turtle Creek. On Tuesday, Allegheny County 9-1-1 dispatched the Turtle Creek Fire Department to the 900 block of Lynn Avenue due to a reported fire. The building, an apartment complex, was housing five individuals at the time. No injuries were reported.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit, along with the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office, started an investigation. Evidence uncovered by the Fire Marshal determined the fire was incendiary. Investigators observed a gasoline odor and oily traces in one of the affected apartments.

Further inquiries revealed Cynthia Grayson, 55, deliberately ignited the fire. Grayson occupied one apartment, while a family of four resided next door. She now faces several charges, including arson and recklessly endangering another person, and is in custody at the Allegheny County Jail.

Dalton Richard Eugene Gates, 32, was identified as the suspect after an investigation that utilized both surveillance footage and a fortuitous discovery on Facebook.

The incident occurred on December 9, just after 5:00 p.m., when a tree was found on fire at the church. The City of Cumberland Fire Department responded quickly to extinguish the blaze. The investigation, led by the Cumberland Fire Marshal’s Office, determined the fire was intentional and sought the help of the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The investigation gained significant traction when Deputy State Fire Marshal Adam Rounds recognized the suspect’s image on the BCFP Reality News Facebook page. This discovery enabled collaboration with local authorities, including the Pennsylvania State Police and Bedford Borough Police, ultimately identifying and locating Gates.

Gates was apprehended on Thursday by the Pennsylvania State Police and is currently in custody at Bedford County Correctional Facility, awaiting extradition. He faces charges of malicious destruction of property and second-degree malicious burning.
