Columbus Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspects in Robbery and Assault

**Columbus, OH** – The Columbus Division of Police is seeking assistance from the public to identify four individuals captured in images connected to a robbery and assault incident that took place on Thursday, October 17.

At approximately 11:46 PM, three victims disembarked from an Uber on the 1700 block of N. High Street. During this time, one suspect attempted to communicate with a female victim, subsequently throwing an object at her and shouting. Another victim who intervened faced physical assault from the four suspects, resulting in him being punched and kicked until he collapsed.

Property was forcibly removed from the victims, with one victim’s belongings being kicked down the sidewalk. Another victim sustained a head injury, allegedly from a tire iron attack, while trying to intervene. The injured parties were later transported to OSU Hospital with serious head lacerations.

Manville Man Found Guilty on Multiple Charges

**SOMERVILLE, N.J.** – A Somerset County jury convicted Junior Suriel-Gonzalez, 38, of Manville, N.J. of multiple charges on Monday following a week-long trial. The charges include third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and disorderly persons simple assault. Assistant Prosecutor Ryan A. Quiñones, assisted by Litigation Paralegal Tiffany Gordon, represented the State.

The incident occurred on February 11, during a Super Bowl Sunday event at a Manville bar. Suriel-Gonzalez was asked to leave the establishment and subsequently armed himself with a beer bottle. He attacked an employee by swinging the bottle over their head. Suriel-Gonzalez was later subdued and removed from the premises before fleeing in his vehicle.

He was arrested by the Manville Police Department several blocks away in the early hours of February 12. The sentencing for Suriel-Gonzalez is set for January 10, 2025, where he could face up to five years in New Jersey State Prison.

Suspect Arrested for Sexual Assault in Galloway Township

**Galloway Township, NJ** – The Galloway Township Police Department reported the arrest of a suspect involved in a sexual assault case with a minor following an investigation prompted by a complaint.

Sunday, officers from the department initiated an investigation after receiving allegations against an adult male for engaging in sexual activity with a female under 16. Cell phone evidence obtained by the police corroborated the victim’s statements, leading to search warrants being issued for the suspect’s phone, vehicle, and place of business, Everest Gymnastics in Galloway Township.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of 51-year-old Matthew A. Shriver from Brigantine, NJ. He was charged with multiple offenses including Aggravated Sexual Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Shriver is currently held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility awaiting a court date.

**White Oak, PA** – A teacher’s aide has been charged following an incident at Francis McClure Elementary School in White Oak, according to the Allegheny County Police Department. The General Investigations Unit investigated a report alleging the aide assaulted a 5-year-old male student with special needs.

The investigation determined the incident happened on the playground on November 7 at around 11:45 a.m. Video footage shows the aide, identified as 53-year-old Amy Kevicki, grabbing the child by the neck and pushing him to the ground. Kevicki then ignored the child and walked towards the building. No injuries were reported.

After working with the district attorney’s office, detectives have charged Kevicki with misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, and summary harassment.

Woman Arrested on Multiple Warrants Including Child Assault Charge

**Pittsburgh, PA** – The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a woman with addresses in Pittsburgh and Irwin. The woman, Carley Johnson, was apprehended on warrants including an aggravated assault charge involving a child.

Carley Johnson, 27, has been a fugitive since April after not appearing in Westmoreland County Court for robbery and simple assault charges. She also faces charges from Mt. Lebanon for prostitution, a theft charge from West Mifflin, and an aggravated assault charge in Pittsburgh where the victim is a 2-year-old boy.

Detectives received information this week leading to Johnson’s location in the West End of Pittsburgh. On Thursday, at approximately 8:30 a.m., detectives approached a residence on Crucible Street.

Upon entry, they found Johnson hiding under a stack of blankets. She was taken into custody without incident and is now in the Allegheny County Jail.

Fernando-Gomez, aged 48, was taken into custody at his home and is currently held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The alleged incidents occurred on May 19 in Jersey City, and the accused is reportedly known to the victim.

**Wilkes-Barre, PA** – The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department reported an assault incident that took place on Wednesday. Officers responded to a domestic dispute at Reno Court at 8:13 p.m.

The incident involved defendant Hailey Ford, 23, from Wilkes-Barre Township, and a 23-year-old male victim from Wilkes-Barre. The victim told officers that a verbal altercation with Ford resulted in him being punched in the face with a closed fist.

Upon inspection, officers confirmed the victim had injuries consistent with his account of the event. Following this, Ford was detained and transported to City Headquarters for further processing and arraignment.
