Mobile Man Who Threatened Employer Sentenced for Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm

MOBILE, AL – A Mobile man was sentenced today to 10 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to court documents, Michael Lee Ammons, 51, made comments to coworkers in April 2021 threatening to “go postal” and “shoot up the place” at a trucking company in Mobile where he was employed. Federal agents responded to the business and detained Ammons, who admitted to making the threatening statements. North Dakota Man Sentenced for Possession of Firearm as Drug User

Acting United States Attorney Dennis R. Holmes announced that a Mandan, North Dakota, man convicted of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person was sentenced on September 20, 2021, by District Judge Charles B. Kornmann, U.S. District Court. Joel Kraft, Jr., age 34, was sentenced to two years of probation, a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100, and forfeiture of a firearm and ammunition. Judge sentences Blytheville, Arkansas man for possession of firearm

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO – United States District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr. sentenced Timothy Sweet to 37 months in prison.  Sweet, a 36-year-old resident of Blytheville, Arkansas, pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.   On November 14, 2019, an officer with the Steele, Missouri Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle being driven by Timothy Sweet for failing to stop at a stop sign.  As the officer was traveling behind the vehicle, the officer observed Sweet making movements that led the officer to believe he was attempting to conceal something underneath his seat.

Milwaukee Man Sentenced to Nine Years in Federal Prison for Heroin and Firearm Offenses

Frohling of the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced that on September 21, 2021, Leroy Spinks (age: 34), of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was sentenced to a total of nine years in federal prison for possessing with the intent to distribute over 70 grams of heroin and for possessing a firearm in furtherance of his drug crime. Waterloo Drug User in Possession of Loaded Firearm Sentenced to Federal Prison

A drug user who possessed a loaded .40 caliber pistol was sentenced today to two years in federal prison. Shuntez Porter, age 23, from Waterloo, Iowa, received the prison term after a March 15, 2021 guilty plea to possession of a firearm by a drug user. In a plea agreement, Porter admitted he was a passenger in a car stopped in Waterloo on August 1, 2020.  Police searched the car and found a pistol inside the glovebox.  The car had an odor of burnt marijuana and small pieces of marijuana were found around the passenger seat.  Porter’s urine was positive

Police find loaded 9mm during traffic stop in Wilmington

Wilmington, DE – Delaware State Police arrest Wilmington man on drug and weapon charges. On March 4, 2021, at approximately 11:26 p.m., a trooper conducting a proactive patrol in the parking lot of Bonsall Park located at 3000 Silverside Road, Wilmington, observed a Hyundai Sonata parked in the parking lot with an occupant inside. When the trooper contacted the operator and sole occupant, 31-year-old Anthony Hardman of Wilmington, the odor of marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle.
