Former Resident Indicted for 2022 Fatal Collision in Howell
**FREEHOLD, NJ –** A former Ocean County resident has been charged in relation to a fatal 2022 multi-vehicle accident in Howell, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago’s announcement on Wednesday.
Drew Peterson, 34, who previously lived in Jackson Township and now resides in Jensen Beach, Florida, faces one count of second-degree vehicular manslaughter. Following a thorough evaluation by a forensic toxicologist, the indictment was issued on Wednesday, October 30. Peterson was processed on Monday, November 18 after returning to New Jersey.
The incident occurred on Friday, March 11, 2022, at around 12:05 a.m. Peterson was operating a 2004 Ford F150 pickup westbound on Route 33, west of the Colts Neck Road intersection, when it crossed the centerline and sideswiped a 2004 Kia Rio. Continuing in the wrong direction, the pickup then struck head-on with a 2010 Dodge Challenger driven by Robert C. Johnson, 50, of Neptune Township. The collision caused the truck to overturn, ejecting Peterson.

Former Teacher Pleads Guilty to Child Endangerment
**Toms River, NJ** – Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that Douglas Bollinger, a 57-year-old resident of Neptune City, pled guilty to Endangering the Welfare of a Child on Monday. The plea was entered before Judge Dina M. Vicari and is linked to incidents that occurred in 2019.
Bollinger is scheduled for sentencing on January 10, 2025, where he will face Parole Supervision for Life. Additionally, he will be subject to Megan’s Law and Nicole’s Law, which will permanently prohibit him from contacting his victim. He will also permanently forfeit future public employment and teaching certifications in New Jersey.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit revealed that between February and August 2019, while serving as a teacher at the Ocean County Performing Arts Academy, Bollinger engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a student. Incidents occurred in Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park.
Bollinger was apprehended without incident on August 15 by the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force. He was held at Ocean County Jail but released under New Jersey Bail Reform. Prosecut
Former Nurse Practitioner Sentenced for Fraudulent Prescriptions
**HARRISBURG, PA** – A former certified registered nurse practitioner from western Pennsylvania received a sentence Thursday of 11.5 to 23 months, followed by 8 years of probation. Joseph G. Sapp, 56, was penalized for writing fraudulent prescriptions for thousands of Oxycodone pills.
Sapp had previously admitted guilt to charges, which include possession with intent to deliver, Medicaid fraud, and forgery. The Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations and Medicaid Fraud Control Unit discovered that Sapp wrote prescriptions filled in Westmoreland, Allegheny, Fayette, and Washington counties.
Sapp issued prescriptions for himself and others in exchange for money, thereby defrauding Medicaid. According to Attorney General Michelle Henry, Sapp failed to uphold his professional responsibilities and contributed to the opioid epidemic by facilitating access to Oxycodone.
The investigation received support from multiple agencies, including the Penn Township Police Department, the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force, the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office, and the DEA. **HARRISBURG, PA** – Attorney General Michelle Henry has announced the conviction of Antoinette Hodge, a former treasurer of Uniontown city, for embezzling around $106,000 in taxpayer funds between 2020 and 2021.
