Frederick Police Arrest Armed Suspect in Road Rage Incident

**Frederick, MD** – On Monday, a road rage incident involving a firearm on West Patrick Street and Old Camp Drive led to the arrest of a suspect by Frederick Police Department. At approximately 8:44 a.m., Master Police Officer Gerand responded to a weapons complaint after a victim reported that another driver had pointed a gun at them before driving away.

Frederick Police Department’s A-Squad, with support from the Brunswick Police Department, located the suspect’s vehicle in Brunswick, MD. Officers found the suspect inside the vehicle and detained him without further incident.

Officials recovered a loaded Sig Sauer P365 handgun from the suspect’s vehicle. It was confirmed that the suspect did not have a valid permit to carry a handgun.

The suspect, identified as David Wayne Styles Jr., was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. He faces charges including first and second-degree assault, assault weapon/magazine use, firearm use in a felony/violent crime, and carrying a loaded handgun in a vehicle. Styles Jr. is currently held without bond.

Shooting Incident at Crozet’s Harris Teeter Ends with Three Fatalities

**Crozet, VA -** Albemarle County Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Monday at the Harris Teeter in Crozet. The incident resulted in the deaths of two victims, Peter L. Martin, 43, and Diane G. Spangler, 68, as well as the shooter, Justin M. Barbour, 28.

The incident began at approximately 1:35 p.m. when emergency services responded to reports of gunfire. First responders found Martin deceased at the scene while Spangler was in critical condition and later died after being taken to UVA Medical Center. Barbour was engaged by an off-duty federal officer who intervened and shot Barbour, leading to his death.

Authorities have determined that Barbour had no previous connections to either victim or the Harris Teeter location. Before the incident, Barbour was tracked leaving his residence at around 1:22 p.m., traveling to Crozet and arriving in the Harris Teeter parking lot by 1:33 p.m. He proceeded to fire 28 rounds within 20 seconds.

**NEW CASTLE, DE** – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident related to road rage that occurred Sunday morning in New Castle. On March 2, around 9:41 a.m., troopers responded to reports of shots fired on North Dupont Highway near Fairview Avenue.

Preliminary investigations revealed the incident involved a BMW SUV and an unidentified sedan. During the altercation, a suspect in the front passenger seat of the sedan discharged a firearm at the BMW driver, a 35-year-old Delaware man. The gunfire did not hit the BMW or its driver. After the shots, the suspect’s vehicle fled south on North Dupont Highway.

Authorities describe the suspect as a masked black male wearing dark-colored clothing. There is no further information regarding the suspect or the vehicle.

Domestic Assault Incident Leads to Arrest in Utica, NY

**UTICA, NY** – On February 27, Utica Police and Fire units responded to a domestic assault call at a residence on Scott Street. The incident involved a female victim who alleged she was attacked by her husband.

Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who claimed that an argument with her husband escalated, leading her to hide in a bathroom. The victim reported that she attempted to escape but was struck multiple times in the head with a wooden object, resulting in lacerations and pain.

The Utica Fire Department transported the victim to Wynn Hospital for treatment. In accordance with New York State’s mandatory domestic violence arrest laws, the husband, identified as Michael Leggett, 57, was arrested at the scene.

Leggett was brought to the Utica Police Department and charged with Assault in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

Suspect Apprehended Following Gunfire Incident in Utica

**UTICA, NY** – Utica Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on February 23rd indicating gunfire on the 1300 block of Oneida St. Officers at the mapped location found a 9mm casing on the road but could not obtain information from nearby residents.

The incident was assigned to the GIVE Unit for investigation. They discovered that during a confrontation, an individual had fired a gun into a snowbank, causing others to flee. Review of surveillance footage revealed the same individual had fired the gun an hour earlier, an event initially unreported.

Suspect information was extracted from the video, leading to the arrest of Naicol F. De Los Santos De La Rosa, age 23, by GIVE investigators on Thursday. A subsequent search of his residence revealed a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun.

Naicol F. De Los Santos De La Rosa faces charges of two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

Three Arrested in Non-Contact Shooting Incident in Annapolis

**Annapolis, MD** – On January 15, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots on the 1900 block of Towne Center Boulevard.

Witnesses observed a white sedan with three female suspects leaving the scene after gunshots were fired during an altercation outside. Officers stopped a white Mercedes matching the description and detained the three occupants on Towne Center Boulevard. They located .38 caliber shell casings at the scene.

The investigation led to the discovery and seizure of a .38 caliber Ruger handgun and a magazine with three live rounds inside the vehicle. The main shooting suspect was identified and arrested along with the other two occupants for their involvement. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.

The individuals arrested are Darshica Delores Allen, 43, Lamiyah Angel Allen, 21, and Brittany Mae Richardson, 36, all from Washington, DC.

**Frankford, DE** – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Frankford on Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday at around 1:00 p.m., troopers responded to a call of a shooting in the 28000 block of Gum Tree Road in Frankford. Upon arrival, they discovered a 41-year-old male victim who had been shot and subsequently taken to the Frankford Fire Company. The victim was later transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.

Preliminary findings indicate that an argument between the victim and a black male suspect at a residence led to the shooting. The suspect fled the scene following the incident.

Hit and Run Incident Occurs on Staffordboro Boulevard

**Stafford, VA** – On Tuesday at approximately 6:23 p.m., an automatic crash notification alerted the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office to an accident at Staffordboro Boulevard and Woodstream Boulevard. First responders discovered a collision involving a Nissan and a Volkswagen, with both vehicles being totaled. Remarkably, no serious injuries were reported.

Deputies engaged with the driver of the Volkswagen, however, the driver of the Nissan fled the scene. It was reported the Nissan driver exited through the driver’s side window, escaping towards Stafford Market Place. Deputy Vaughn spotted a male and a female nearby, with the male fitting the description of the suspect and the female upset about her vehicle’s condition, prompting an attempt to establish contact.

The male, later identified as Bryant Berryman, 37, of Stafford, falsely stated that the female was driving. Despite multiple attempts to gain compliance, Berryman refused to cooperate, resulting in the use of OC spray for detention. He was found to have a revoked driver’s license and was treated by on-scene Fire and Rescue staff.

Berryman was charged with several offenses including felony hit and run, obstruction of justice, and driving while revoked. He
