Aggravated Assault Leaves One Injured in Wilkes-Barre

**WILKES-BARRE, PA** – An aggravated assault occurred in Wilkes-Barre at approximately 2:10 PM on Saturday at 30 Hanover Street. It involved an altercation between a male and a female.

Upon their arrival, police found the male suffering from a gunshot wound on Hanover Street. The female was detained near the parking lot of the location. The injured male was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The State Police Forensics Unit was called to secure the scene, and the Wilkes-Barre Detective Division initiated the investigation with support from the Luzerne County Detective Division. The investigation remains ongoing, and the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department requests any information related to the incident to be reported to their Detective Division, Care of Lieutenant Matt Stash at 570-208-0911.

### Anne Arundel County Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Severn

**SEVERN, MD** – The Homicide Unit of the Anne Arundel County Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday at Meade Village Road in Severn. A confrontation at a basketball court led to gunfire, resulting in two fatalities.

Officers responded at 7:00 p.m. to the scene and discovered two adult males with gunshot wounds. One victim, Derrick Purcell Ahmad McDonald, 23, of Severn, was pronounced dead on-site. The second victim, Mack Samuel Galloway III, 28, of Glen Burnie, eventually succumbed to his injuries at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. A third victim, a 26-year-old male, sustained injuries from a metal fragment, not a gunshot, and was taken to the Shock Trauma Center.

A vehicle linked to the incident was found at Pioneer Drive and Jacobs Road, occupied by two men. The passenger, with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was hospitalized, while the driver escaped injury. Both are cooperating in the ongoing investigation.
