**Wilkes-Barre, PA** – On February 26th, officers from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to a theft incident on Laurel Street. The incident occurred at 4:01 PM and involved theft from a motor vehicle.

A 27-year-old male victim from Wilkes-Barre reported that an unknown suspect removed the license plate from his vehicle. The vehicle was parked near the victim’s residence at the time of the theft.

The stolen plate is a New York registration with the identifier KLN-3844. Police are currently investigating the incident.

Missing 11-Year-Old Girl Found Safe

**Laurel, MD** – Mia Amaya Alberto, who was reported missing, has been safely located. Prince George’s County Police Department had sought help from the public in locating the 11-year-old girl.

Mia was last seen on Thursday in the 13000 block of Briarwood Drive in Laurel at approximately 4:10 PM. Authorities described her as a Hispanic female, standing 4’8” tall and weighing 70 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a black sweater and khaki pants. Anyone with information regarding her case was previously urged to contact the Missing Persons Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department at 301-772-8970.
