Coastal NC Drug Trafficker Sentenced to 12 Years
RALEIGH, N.C. – An Elizabeth City man was sentenced Friday to 144 months in prison for distributing cocaine, cocaine base (crack), and fentanyl. On June 23, 2021, Maurice Dwight Toxey pled guilty to the charges. According to court documents and other information presented in court, Toxey, 37, was involved in the distribution of narcotics including cocaine, crack, methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl in the communities surrounding Elizabeth City and the Outer Banks.
