Murder-Suicide Investigated at Manatawny Manor Nursing Home
**Chester County, PA** – On Wednesday, the East Coventry Police Department along with Chester County Detectives addressed a murder-suicide case at the Manatawny Manor Nursing Home. Authorities responded following a 9-1-1 call reporting gunfire at the facility.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered an 89-year-old woman deceased and a 90-year-old man with a severe self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The firearm was located at the scene. The wounded man, identified as the deceased woman’s husband, was taken to Reading Hospital but did not survive.
There have been no other injuries reported apart from the two individuals involved. Authorities confirm there is no ongoing threat to the public or those residing in the nursing home.
Investigation Underway in Death at Nursing Home
**East Coventry, PA** – The East Coventry Police Department, alongside Chester County Detectives, is conducting a murder/attempted suicide investigation following the death of an 89-year-old woman at Manatawny Manor Nursing Home. Authorities are focusing on the circumstances that led to the incident, which led to the current status of the investigation.
Investigators have reported no further injuries apart from the two individuals directly involved in the incident. Authorities have also confirmed that there is no threat to the public or other residents at the nursing facility.
