Rockland County Corrections Officer Arrested on Child Sex Abuse Material Charges

**Rockland County, NY** – Daniel Dworkin, 44, of Valley Cottage, New York and a Sergeant at the Rockland County Jail, was arrested Monday. The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office charged him with 51 counts each of promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

The case began with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, leading to searches of Dworkin’s residence and electronic devices. The investigation was conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and included local law enforcement support.

District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II expressed the seriousness of the charges, given Dworkin’s role in law enforcement. He affirmed a commitment to child protection and accountability in the legal process.

Dworkin was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court, where bail was set at $500,000 cash, $1 million bond, or $1.5 million partially secured bond. The proceedings will continue on November 25, with Gerard M. Damiani III and Joseph Santangelo as prosecutors.

Three Arrested in Boston Incident Following Report of Officer in Trouble

**Boston, MA** – On Friday at approximately 11:37 PM, police officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) and District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested three individuals: Alan Ridenour, 19, of Marlboro, Mario Florian, 19, of Ashland, and Geraldo Colon, 21, of Framingham.

Officers responded to a distress call at 485 Canterbury Street where an officer was reportedly trapped in his vehicle with individuals jumping on it. Upon their arrival, over one hundred vehicles blocked Canterbury Street. Officers began searching for the officer and, once found, the crowd dispersed.

The officer, who declined medical attention, described being obstructed by several cars and having his vehicle swiped by another. A suspect was observed entering a car without a front license plate, and upon confrontation, tried to flee in the vehicle nearly hitting officers.

During a search, a firearm, three different license plates, and key fobs were discovered. Officers also encountered a different vehicle parked off-road. Further investigation revealed it was stolen, and a firearm and two stolen plates were found inside.

Monmouth County Officer Indicted on Misconduct Charges

**Freehold, NJ** – A Monmouth County Grand Jury has indicted a suspended Manalapan Township Police Department officer on 19 counts related to alleged misconduct involving two teenage girls. The indictment was announced Thursday by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.

Kevin Ruditsky, 47, is facing multiple charges including second-degree Engaging in a Pattern of Official Misconduct. Additional charges include nine counts of second-degree Official Misconduct, three counts of third-degree Computer Criminal Activity, and three counts of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He also faces charges of Hindering Apprehension, Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer, and Stalking.

The investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) began last August after receiving information about inappropriate messages and photos sent by Ruditsky to a 16-year-old. The conduct reportedly started during the 2023 National Night Out event in Manalapan Township. Authorities allege that Ruditsky, in uniform at the event, engaged in further misconduct by pulling over the victim unlawfully and deactivating his cameras.
