Hudson County Officials Investigate Jersey City Assault
**JERSEY CITY, NJ** – The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit is currently investigating a sexual assault case in Jersey City. The incident was reported to have occurred on Sunday, January 5, at a residence on McAdoo Avenue.
The Jersey City Police Department received notification of the home invasion shortly before 7 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers found a female victim who stated that an unknown male had entered her home through a window. The victim reported that she was physically and sexually assaulted and is now receiving medical treatment at a local hospital for multiple injuries.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The investigation is ongoing with collaboration between the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:55 a.m. on the 200 block of Park Avenue near 6th Street. A man waiting for a taxi was accosted by three individuals who stole his necklace, took $400 cash, and physically assaulted him before absconding northbound on North 6th Street.
Detectives have described the suspects as three Black males. Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda has called for anyone with relevant information to reach out.

Suffolk County Authorities Announce Arrests in Car Takeover Incident
**Islip, NY** – Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine, along with Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney, Suffolk County Sheriff Errol Toulon, and Deputy Police Commissioner Kevin Catalina, held a press conference to announce the arrests of two individuals involved in a car takeover incident.
Following a police investigation, a 21-year-old man from Brooklyn and a 20-year-old man from Westbury were arrested for their participation in a street takeover. This incident, which occurred in Islip on Friday, involved an officer being assaulted and dragged by a vehicle. The charges against the Brooklyn individual include Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 1st and 2nd Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Unlawful Speed Contests, Sideshows, and Races.
