**SEVERN, MD** – The Homicide Unit of the Anne Arundel County Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday at Meade Village Road in Severn. A confrontation at a basketball court led to gunfire, resulting in two fatalities.

Officers responded at 7:00 p.m. to the scene and discovered two adult males with gunshot wounds. One victim, Derrick Purcell Ahmad McDonald, 23, of Severn, was pronounced dead on-site. The second victim, Mack Samuel Galloway III, 28, of Glen Burnie, eventually succumbed to his injuries at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. A third victim, a 26-year-old male, sustained injuries from a metal fragment, not a gunshot, and was taken to the Shock Trauma Center.

A vehicle linked to the incident was found at Pioneer Drive and Jacobs Road, occupied by two men. The passenger, with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was hospitalized, while the driver escaped injury. Both are cooperating in the ongoing investigation.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Seizure and Arrest in Severn

**Severn, MD** – On Thursday, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police conducted a traffic stop involving a gray Honda Cross-tour at the intersection of Golden Eagle Lane and Redhawk Way.

The driver, Thomas Lee Gross, was identified as previously wanted in connection with a citizen robbery. Upon the attempted stop, Gross fled the vehicle on foot but was captured a short distance away without incident.

A subsequent search of the Honda Cross-tour revealed a significant amount of narcotics and cash. Police seized about 13 pills of suspected Oxycodone, 11.5 pills of Alprazolam, 23 pills of MDMA, roughly 1 ounce of Promethazine, 16.73 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, approximately 913.27 grams of Cannabis, and $2,717 in cash.

Thomas Lee Gross, a 24-year-old male from Severn, Maryland, was arrested and is now facing charges related to the incident.

**SEVERN, MD** – On Tuesday, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a shooting was reported in the 8100 block of Meade Village Road, resulting in the deaths of two men. Police officers arriving on the scene found two adult males with apparent gunshot wounds and administered medical aid until the Fire Department arrived. Detectives from the Homicide Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation, and collected numerous items of evidentiary value from both the crime scene and the vehicle.
