State Department Employee Arrested for Alleged Information Conspiracy

**Washington, D.C.** – Michael Charles Schena, a 42-year-old resident of Alexandria, Virginia, has been arrested on charges linked to an alleged conspiracy involving national defense information.

Court documents reveal Schena worked for the U.S. Department of State at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., holding a top secret security clearance. Starting around April 2022, he purportedly shared unauthorized information with individuals met online, receiving payments in return. On February 27, he supposedly used a cellphone to photograph documents labeled “SECRET” from his classified computer monitor and subsequently returned home, where his cellphone was confiscated.

Facing charges of conspiracy to gather, transmit, or lose national defense information, Schena could receive a prison sentence of up to 10 years. A federal district court judge will decide the sentence, taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Washington Field Office with support from the FBI Richmond Field Office and other agencies. The case is prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Michael Ben’Ary and Gavin R. Tisdale, alongside Trial Attorney Maria Fedor from the National Security Division.

Delaware State Police Apprehend Suspect in January Tobacco Store Robbery

**Newark, DE** – Delaware State Police have detained Unique Priestley, 26, of Newark, in connection with an armed robbery in January at the Four Seasons Tobacco Outlet.

On January 25 at approximately 10:35 a.m., authorities responded to the scene located at 638 Plaza Drive. A suspect, described as a black male, entered the establishment, confronted an employee with a knife, and took tobacco products. Before fleeing, the suspect physically struck the employee, though no injuries were reported.

The criminal investigation by Troop 2 Detectives led to the identification of Priestley as the offender. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

Detectives located and arrested Priestley Monday without incident. He was transported to Troop 2 and arraigned on a charge of Robbery 1st Degree. Priestley is currently held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $35,000 cash bond.

State Grand Jury Decision on Fatal Accident Involving NJ Trooper

**TRENTON, NJ** — A state grand jury has voted against filing criminal charges in the case of Raul L. Diaz, a 59-year-old cyclist from Long Valley, New Jersey. The incident involved a collision with a New Jersey State Police officer on February 5 just after 6:00 a.m. in Hackettstown.

The Office of Public Integrity and Accountability (OPIA) conducted an investigation, presenting findings to a grand jury in line with the Independent Prosecutor Directive of 2019. Evidence reviewed included surveillance and body-worn camera footage, radio transmissions, a crash report, photographs, and autopsy results. On February 24, the grand jury decided not to indict NJSP Sergeant First Class Kesene Grier.

According to the investigation, Sergeant Grier was driving an unmarked state police SUV and collided with Diaz on an electric bike at the intersection of Willow Grove Street and Brook Hollow Drive. The collision occurred when Diaz applied the brakes abruptly, causing him to overturn and be struck by Grier’s vehicle.

Following the crash, Sergeant Grier alerted dispatch and provided assistance to Diaz until emergency services arrived. Diaz was pronounced dead at Hackett

Delaware State Police Investigate Road Rage Shooting Incident

**NEW CASTLE, DE** – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident related to road rage that occurred Sunday morning in New Castle. On March 2, around 9:41 a.m., troopers responded to reports of shots fired on North Dupont Highway near Fairview Avenue.

Preliminary investigations revealed the incident involved a BMW SUV and an unidentified sedan. During the altercation, a suspect in the front passenger seat of the sedan discharged a firearm at the BMW driver, a 35-year-old Delaware man. The gunfire did not hit the BMW or its driver. After the shots, the suspect’s vehicle fled south on North Dupont Highway.

Authorities describe the suspect as a masked black male wearing dark-colored clothing. There is no further information regarding the suspect or the vehicle.
