**Severn, MD** – Detectives from the Western District stopped a silver Nissan Rogue on MD Route 32 near Laurel Fort Meade Road on Tuesday at 5:35 p.m. Officers identified an unserialized 9mm Polymer 80 handgun loaded with 23 rounds with the front seat passenger. The passenger Ibn Muta Ali Wright, aged 18, from Pasadena, MD, who is prohibited from owning firearms, was arrested. The driver, 29-year-old Kiyewon Edward Barnes from Germantown, MD, had outstanding arrest warrants.
**Pasadena, MD** – On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., officers conducted a separate traffic stop in Pasadena on Ritchie Highway and Camrose Avenue with a silver Acura. Inside, they found a loaded Kurz semi-automatic handgun, identification cards with various names, suspected controlled dangerous substances (CDS), and related paraphernalia. The driver was unidentified at the time but taken into custody. His passenger, Hilary Jean Elam, aged 36, from Baltimore, was also arrested.
