Three Found Guilty of Fatal Ambush in Philadelphia

**PHILADELPHIA, PA** — District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the conviction of Rayfiq Tiggle, Tariq Chambers, and Isaiah Jones for two counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and related firearm charges. The Philadelphia jury found them guilty for the murder of two teenagers in West Philadelphia in 2021.

On June 11, 2021, Tiggle, Chambers, and Jones drove to 55th and Arch Streets in a white Nissan Altima. Nasir Brooks, 17, and Steven Griffin, 18, were ambushed and fatally shot 16 times by Tiggle and Jones as they passed the vehicle. The attackers fled afterward.

A tip led the police to the getaway car within 20 minutes on Olive Street. Surveillance video and cell data confirmed the presence of Tiggle, Chambers, and Jones at the crime scene. Arrests were made in December 2022.

Judge Giovanni Campbell sentenced each to life without parole, plus an additional 20 to 40 years for conspiracy on November 15. District Attorney Krasner thanked the police and prosecuting attorney, Sean Perez, for their efforts in handling the case.

Three Suspects Arrested in Connection with Akron Murder

**Akron, OH** – The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) has arrested Khairi Moorer, 23, Derek Edwards, 19, and Robert Davis, 19. The three were wanted by the Akron Police Department for aggravated murder.

Police initially responded to a single car crash on November 7 at the intersection of South Main Street and West Miller Avenue. Jamar E. Franklin, 29, was found within the vehicle with a gunshot wound and later died at the hospital. Investigations revealed Franklin was shot while in his vehicle at a parking lot on West Long Street.

Authorities issued warrants for Moorer, Edwards, and Davis following the incident. On Thursday, Khairi Moorer was arrested on Ido Ave., and the following morning, Derek Edwards and Robert Davis were apprehended on Kling St.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott commented that the arrests were due to the diligent work of the Akron Police Department. The collaboration between the task force and Akron Police facilitated the rapid detainment of these individuals.

**Boston, MA** – On Friday at approximately 11:37 PM, police officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) and District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested three individuals: Alan Ridenour, 19, of Marlboro, Mario Florian, 19, of Ashland, and Geraldo Colon, 21, of Framingham.

Officers responded to a distress call at 485 Canterbury Street where an officer was reportedly trapped in his vehicle with individuals jumping on it. Upon their arrival, over one hundred vehicles blocked Canterbury Street. Officers began searching for the officer and, once found, the crowd dispersed.

The officer, who declined medical attention, described being obstructed by several cars and having his vehicle swiped by another. A suspect was observed entering a car without a front license plate, and upon confrontation, tried to flee in the vehicle nearly hitting officers.

During a search, a firearm, three different license plates, and key fobs were discovered. Officers also encountered a different vehicle parked off-road. Further investigation revealed it was stolen, and a firearm and two stolen plates were found inside.

Three Arrested in Rehoboth Beach Drug Bust

**Rehoboth Beach, DE** – Delaware State Police have taken three individuals into custody on felony drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at a hotel in Rehoboth Beach. Eric Howell, 49, of Rehoboth Beach, Trevor Harmon, 32, of Lewes, and Elizabeth Hone, 23, of Rockville, Maryland, were all arrested as part of the operation.

On Tuesday, law enforcement officials from the Sussex County Drug Unit and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force conducted the search at the Rodeway Inn and Suites. The warrant was issued after investigating Howell’s involvement in distributing narcotics from the hotel. Howell attempted to dispose of narcotics upon seeing detectives, but all three suspects were apprehended without further incident.

During the search, detectives found 11.78 grams of crack cocaine, 0.15 grams of heroin, $310 in suspected drug money, and digital scales. Howell now faces multiple charges, including intent to distribute and tampering with evidence, and is held on a $34,500 bond.

**Jersey City, NJ** – Three individuals were arrested on Wednesday after a prolonged narcotics investigation conducted by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force in Jersey City and Newark. The arrests were made following the execution of a court-authorized search warrant at residences on Kensington Avenue in Jersey City and Hunterdon Street in Newark, leading to the seizure of more than 100 grams of suspected cocaine, over 30 grams of suspected heroin, and other suspected prescription drugs.

Errol Allen, a 52-year-old resident of Jersey City, faces charges including the operation of a Controlled Dangerous Substance Production Facility, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, and possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs like Viagra. He was arrested on Kensington Avenue and was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility while awaiting his initial court appearance.

Alex Darby, aged 52, from Newark, is charged with similar offenses, including maintaining a drug production facility, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, and hindering apprehension. Darby was apprehended on Hunterdon Street and is currently at Essex County Correctional Facility pending his court date.

Three Arrested in Roxbury Fire Incident

**Boston, MA** – On Wednesday, at approximately 11:10 PM, officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a report of a fire in the vicinity of 170 Morton Street. The response resulted in the arrest of three individuals: 33-year-old Jasen Levoy, 24-year-old Thomas Mullikas, and 25-year-old Augusto Bussio, all residents of Roxbury.

Earlier, at about 10:30 PM, a fire was detected by a Boston Police Sergeant near Franklin Park close to Shattuck Hospital. The sergeant alerted the Fire Department and later observed a second fire, prompting a request for additional support to determine if the fires were deliberate.

Multiple officers, along with personnel from the Boston Police Drone Unit and the Boston Fire Department, arrived at the scene. A drone was deployed over Franklin Park, and three individuals were seen on the golf course near the fire sites. These individuals appeared to throw objects at the drone before fleeing towards Jewish War Veterans Drive.

The trio was intercepted by officers on Jewish War Veterans Drive. They were identified as Jasen Levoy, Augusto Bussio, and Thomas Mullikas and were subsequently taken into custody.

**Queens, NY** – Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the charging of Cesar Egas Nagua, Michel Garcia Rodriguez, and Alain Prieto Romero with criminal possession of cannabis. This follows a search warrant that led to the discovery of more than 850 pounds of cannabis flower in a Long Island City apartment.

The district attorney highlighted that a wellness check call initially led police officers to the large cannabis seizure. All three individuals involved now face felony possession charges as the investigation continues. District Attorney Katz emphasized the risk posed by unregulated cannabis products to the community.

Egas Nagua, 34, from Brentwood, alongside Garcia Rodriguez, 25, and Prieto Romero, 23, both from Long Island City, were arraigned on Tuesday night on first-degree cannabis possession charges. Judge Jerry Iannece has scheduled their next court appearance for January 16, 2025.
