Tax Day: Phil Murphy and Trenton Dems’ Favorite Annual Quince de Abril Fiesta

Political Satire: Happy Tax Day, New Jersey! Also known as Quince De Abril!

Or, as Governor Phil Murphy and his Trenton Democratic pals probably call it, “Christmas in Spring.”

While the rest of us are digging through shoeboxes for receipts and cursing our W-2s, you can bet the state capitol is popping champagne corks, gleefully tallying up our hard-earned dollars for their next pet project.

Let’s be real: nobody loves a tax hike like this crew. From property taxes that make your mortgage look like pocket change to sales taxes that sting like a bee at the checkout, New Jersey’s leaders have turned squeezing taxpayers into an art form.

Murphy’s grin must widen with every extra cent he can funnel into Trenton’s bottomless budget.

Infrastructure? Sure. Schools? Okay. But we all know there’s a special thrill reserved for those “innovative” programs that sound great in press releases but vanish faster than your refund check.

And don’t get me started on the irony.

They’ll lecture us about “fairness” while the average Jersey family scrambles to afford living in the state they love.

Fair? Tell that to the commuters shelling out for tolls, gas taxes, and a rail system that’s more prayer than punctual.

Meanwhile, the governor’s mansion is looking awfully cozy, especially for the illegal migrant he said was living in his attic.

So, here’s to Tax Day—when Murphy and his cronies remind us who’s really in charge of our wallets.

Maybe one year we’ll get a holiday where we keep a little more of what we earn. Until then, file those returns, folks, and try not to picture Trenton throwing a party with your paycheck.
