WASHINGTON, D.C. – 18-year-old Jerome Israel of D.C. was arrested yesterday and charged with the murder of 24-year-old Chaquan Barbett which took place on August 23rd.
Shortly after 9:30 pm, The Washington D.C. Metro Police arrived at the 2300 Block of Minnesota Avenue in the Southeast section for a shooting report. When police arrived, they discovered Barbett suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Israel was arrested yesterday and charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.
