Teen arrested in September Baltimore shooting, charged with attempted murder

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with a September 2024 shooting in Baltimore’s Southwest District.

Detectives identified the teen as the suspect in the shooting of a 20-year-old man on the 700 block of North Woodington Road on September 9.

The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the back, was transported to a hospital by private means and was later reported in stable condition.

On January 14, 2025, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested the suspect without incident at a residence in the 3700 block of Park Heights Avenue.

The suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and is being charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder.

A 17-year-old now faces adult charges after a Southwest Baltimore shooting left a man hospitalized.
