Teen Girl Charged for Gang-Related Attack on Man Sleeping on NYC Subway Train

NEW YORK, NY – The New York Police Department is investigating an assault on the A train last month. The incident, taking place in the early hours of January 7 near the Euclid Avenue station, involved three male and one female suspect attacking a 61-year-old male victim.

On Thursday, police arrested a 17-year-old girl for the attack. She was charged with gang assault, assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

The victim, who was asleep at the time, was awakened by the suspects’ kicks, leading to a verbal altercation that escalated into physical violence. The altercation resulted in the victim being stabbed in the right leg.

Following the assault, the suspects fled the scene. The victim, suffering minor injuries, was subsequently transported to Interfaith Medical Center in a stable condition. The NYPD is actively seeking any information regarding the identities and whereabouts of the individuals involved.
