Teen Girl Recovering After Rochester Shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 17-year-old girl is recuperating following a shooting in the northeast side of the city, Rochester Police Department reports. The incident happened early Monday morning on Clifford Avenue near Manitou Street. Police responded to Rochester General Hospital around 1 a.m. following reports of a victim with gunshot injuries.

The teenager suffered an upper body gunshot wound but is expected to survive. The Rochester Police Department is conducting ongoing investigations into the circumstances leading to the shooting. As of now, there are no suspects in custody.
