Teen Girl Reported Missing in Newark

NEWARK, N.J. — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Juhlia Payne, a 15-year-old girl from Newark, who was reported missing on May 3, 2024, according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé.

Juhlia, described as a frequent runaway, was last seen wearing a school uniform consisting of a blue sweater, white shirt, and gray pants. She is known to frequent Nat Turner Park and may be visiting a relative in Jamaica, Queens, New York.

Anyone with information on Juhlia Payne’s whereabouts is urged to contact Newark police by calling the 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Tips can remain anonymous and may lead to a reward.
