Teen Girl Shot Near Edward R. Murrow High School in Midwood

BROOKLYN, NY – In a broad daylight shooting on Friday, a 17-year-old girl was shot near Edward R. Murrow High School in Midwood.

The incident occurred just after noon at East 16th Street and Avenue M, only a short distance from the Q train station.

Police reports state that the teen was hit in the right ankle.

She was subsequently taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where she is now listed in stable condition.

Following the incident, a teenage boy was seen fleeing the scene, as mentioned by police sources.
