Teen girl shot on Linworth Avenue in late-night Baltimore shooting

BALTIMORE, MD — A 19-year-old woman was injured in a shooting late Tuesday night in Northeast Baltimore, prompting an active investigation by district detectives.

The incident occurred just before midnight on March 25. A Northeast District patrol officer was conducting a routine patrol on East Cold Spring Lane when a citizen flagged him down, reporting a nearby shooting in the 900 block of Linworth Avenue.

Officers responded and located the victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported her to an area hospital for treatment.

No suspects have been identified, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. The investigation is ongoing.
