Teen charged as adult in deadly Druid Park Lake Drive shooting
Baltimore, MD — A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged as an adult with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 26-year-old Davonne Hare last month in West Baltimore, police confirmed Wednesday.
The homicide occurred on August 22 at approximately 9:34 p.m., when Western District officers responded to the 700 block of Druid Park Lake Drive for reports of gunfire. Officers found Hare suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died despite emergency efforts.
Detectives identified the teenage suspect during the investigation and arrested him on September 7. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and formally charged with first-degree murder.
Police have not released the teen’s name due to his age, though he is being prosecuted as an adult under Maryland law. Officials have not provided information on a possible motive or whether additional suspects are being sought.
The case remains under active investigation.
