Teen Hospitalized, Suspect Arrested Following Suffolk Shooting

SUFFOLK, VA — A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized following a shooting incident in Suffolk on Thursday.

The Suffolk Police Department reported that they received a call around 9:45 a.m. regarding a shooting victim in the 200 block of North Broad Street.

The incident, which stemmed from a verbal argument, involved the victim and 30-year-old Kameron Lee Goudy.

The teen received medical treatment on the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue before being transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Goudy was apprehended and faces multiple felony charges, including malicious wounding, reckless handling of a firearm, and shooting in a public space. He is currently detained without bond at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
