Teen Injured in Late Night Ocean City Shooting

OCEAN CITY, Md. — Police are investigating a shooting that injured an 18-year-old man early Saturday near the intersection of 28th Street and Philadelphia Avenue.

Officers with the Ocean City Police Department responded around 12:46 a.m. after hearing gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they located the victim, an 18-year-old male from Cambridge, Maryland, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his arm.

Ocean City EMS provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to TidalHealth. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

According to police, the victim has been uncooperative with the investigation.

The Ocean City Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Major Crimes Unit are handling the case.

No suspect information has been released, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
