Teen killed in Lansdowne shooting outside high school, homicide investigation underway

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon near Lansdowne High School, prompting a homicide investigation by Baltimore County police.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:40 p.m. in the parking lot of a shopping center on the 3900 block of Hollins Ferry Road. They later found the victim across the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or any details about a possible suspect.
