Teen rescued after spending cold night lost in Jackson woods

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – An Orthodox Jewish teenager was rescued this morning by volunteers, according to a report in the Lakewood Scoop. The boy was dropped off near his Yeshiva in the Drake Road area and managed to walk through the woods, into Jackson overnight.

The boy was found at 10 am in Jackson Township after a search conducted by the Lakewood Civilian Safety Watch was unable to locate him in the vicinity of where he was dropped off. TLS reported he was just 300 feet from Whitesville Road when located.  The missing teen was not wearing a jacket and was suffering from prolonged cold weather exposure.  Hatzolah assisted in the rescue.
