Teen robbed and assaulted by group in late-night brooklyn attack

BROOKLYN, NY – A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized after being beaten and robbed by four individuals inside a 14th Avenue building late Saturday night, police said.

The assault occurred around 11:30 p.m. at 3720 14th Avenue.

The suspects fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.

Group attack leaves teen injured

According to police, the victim was approached by four unknown individuals who initiated a verbal dispute before physically assaulting him. The group repeatedly punched and kicked the teen, forcibly taking his cell phone before fleeing southbound on 14th Avenue toward an unknown destination.

Victim treated and listed in stable condition

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries and listed in stable condition. Police confirmed that no arrests have been made.

Police release suspect description

Investigators described one of the individuals as a male last seen wearing a black face mask, a blue sweatshirt, blue-and-white plaid pants, and black sandals. Detectives are continuing to review surveillance footage and urge anyone with information to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline.
