Teen robbed at knifepoint on F train in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A teenager was robbed at knifepoint aboard a southbound F train early Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.

The incident took place around 1:29 a.m. when a 17-year-old male and a 15-year-old male were riding together. Police said they were approached by an unidentified man who displayed a knife and forcefully removed a backpack from the older teen.

The suspect removed a wallet containing approximately $440 from the backpack before fleeing the train at the Neptune Avenue station.

No injuries were reported in the incident, police said.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green camouflage hat, and gray sneakers.

The NYPD is continuing to investigate the robbery. No arrests have been made.

Police are working to determine whether surveillance footage may help identify the individual involved.
