Teen robbed inside doorway of Bushwick apartment building

NEW YORK, NY – An 18-year-old male was robbed by a suspect who simulated a firearm under his clothing last week. Today, police with the city’s 83rd Precinct have released a photo of the suspect wanted in that robbery.

On February 1st, at approximately 10 pm, the victim, an 18-year-old male, was walking to his residence in the vicinity of Wilson Avenue and Stanhope Street, when an unknown male individual approached him in the doorway of his building. T

“The individual demanded money and simulated having a firearm in his jacket pocket. The victim complied and handed the individual $70. The individual then fled on foot southbound on Stanhope Street. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident,” the NYPD said in a statement.

Police described the suspect as a male with a dark complexion, 5’8” in height, and approximately 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, green jacket, blue jeans, and gray sneakers.
