Teen shot early this morning in Philadelphia recovering in stable condition

PHILADELPHIA — A 16-year-old male was injured in a shooting early Monday morning at the intersection of Claridge and East Luzerne Streets in Philadelphia’s 24th District.

The shooting occurred at approximately 4:17 a.m., according to police. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his left calf and was transported by police to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Authorities have reported that the teen is in stable condition.

No crime scene has been located, and police have not made any arrests or recovered a weapon connected to the incident. Investigators are continuing to search for leads.
