Teen Shot in Lakewood Shows Up At Toms River Hospital

Toms River, NJ – A 16-year-old male was admitted to Community Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg shortly after 10:30 PM last evening, as reported by the Toms River Police Department.

The incident appears to have occurred in the area of Davina Court in Lakewood, where local residents reported hearing sounds resembling gunshots about 30 minutes prior to the police being alerted.

The victim, along with several other occupants of a vehicle, was reportedly meeting with at least one other individual when the shooting occurred. Following the incident, the victim was transported to the hospital by his friends for treatment.
