Teen struck by SUV in Gaithersburg, hospitalized with serious injuries

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A teenager was hospitalized Friday morning after being hit by an SUV near a Gaithersburg intersection, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene at 9:37 a.m. following a report of a pedestrian-involved crash near Olde Town Avenue and Fulks Corner Avenue.

The teen was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene. The crash is under active investigation.
