Teen survives shooting after taking himself to hospital in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD – A 19-year-old man was treated for a gunshot wound Sunday night after telling police he had been shot by an unknown suspect while in the unit block of West North Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to a local hospital at approximately 10:22 p.m. on March 30 after the victim arrived seeking medical assistance.

Upon arrival, police located the teen, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the body. Medical staff confirmed that his injuries were non-life-threatening.

The victim reported he had been shot by an unknown individual before making his way to the hospital on his own.

Eastern District detectives responded to both the hospital and the reported location of the shooting as they began their investigation.

No arrests have been made, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
