Teen suspect arrested in West Mifflin stabbing murder of 65-year-old man

WEST MIFFLIN, PA – A 19-year-old has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide for a stabbing murder he committed in West Mifflin on Tuesday.

The broad daylight murder took place at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday outside an apartment building on Midway drive. Police responded to find 65-year-old Marcel Thompson on the ground with multiple stab wounds.

Police and first responders were unable to save Thompson, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives determined 19-year-old Robert Anger of Homestead was the person responsible for the homicide.

He was charged with homicide and burglary. Police did not say how the burglary was connected to the stabbing.
