Teen wounded in late-night shooting inside Baltimore home

BALTIMORE, MD – A 19-year-old male was hospitalized early Sunday after being shot inside a residence in the 900 block of Wilmot Court, according to police.

Officers from the Central District responded to the location around 12:45 a.m. on March 30 following a report of gunfire. A resident at the scene told police they had heard shots coming from inside the building.

Upon forcing entry, officers found evidence of a shooting but no individuals inside. Shortly after, a separate call led officers to the 2200 block of North Monroe Street, where they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Preliminary findings suggest the shooting occurred at the Wilmot Court address, and detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

No arrests have been made, and police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
