Teenager Killed in Laurel Shooting, Two Others Injured

LAUREL, DE – Laurel police have confirmed that a shooting incident occurred Sunday afternoon, leading to the death of one teenage boy and injuries to two others.

The incident unfolded around 3 p.m., resulting in the closure of W 7th Street near Center Street, which is expected to remain shut for several hours.

Although the Delaware State Police troopers have yet to make any arrests, they believe this to be an isolated incident and currently see no threat to the public.

Specifics regarding the shooting are still unclear. The conditions and identities of the three victims are being kept confidential until family members are notified.
