Teenager Killed in Northwest DC Homicide, Investigation Underway

WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that took place in the 200 block of V Street, Northwest on Friday.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found a 16-year-old male victim, identified as Mylaki Young, inside a residence.

DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services determined there were no signs of life, and Young’s body was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the homicide. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
