Teenager Shot Dead in White Oak

WHITE OAK, MD – A 17-year-old named Tyrone Howard Brown was fatally shot in White Oak, according to detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section. On Thursday, around 11 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Emergency Communications Center received a call about a vehicle collision in the Birches Apartments parking lot located on the 1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle.

Upon arrival, 3rd District officers found Brown in a car with a gunshot wound. After being shot, the vehicle, driven by Brown, crashed into several parked cars within the apartment complex’s parking lot. Brown, without a fixed address, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Montgomery County Department of Police is yet to identify a suspect. Information regarding this homicide can be reported to Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at the toll-free number 1-866-455-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
