Teens Arrested in D.C. Armed Carjacking

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department has made two arrests in an Armed Carjacking that took place in Northwest D.C. Sunday morning.

Around 1:30 am, the victims were approached by the suspects while they were seated in a vehicle at the 5800 block of Colorado Avenue. Displaying handguns, the suspects ordered the victims to exit the vehicle, to which the victims complied. Subsequently, the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. However, responding officers successfully apprehended the suspects and recovered a handgun.

On Sunday, two juveniles, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, both residents of D.C., were taken into custody and charged with Armed Carjacking and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.
