Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department battles multiple brush fires

CHARLES COUNTY, Md. — Crews from the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department responded to a large brush fire off Marshalls Corner Road on Sunday, deploying multiple units to contain the blaze over several hours.

Units including Brush 8, Engine 8-4, Tanker 8, Utility 8, ATV-8, and Chief 8B worked to extinguish the fire, which required extensive effort from responding personnel. While crews were engaged at Marshalls Corner, Engine 8-2 was transferred to Fire Station 11 in Bryans Road, where it assisted with another brush fire in the area.

Despite the demands of these incidents, the department ensured an additional crew was available to cover emergencies in the first due response area.

No injuries or property damage have been reported in connection with either fire.
