PARSIPPANY, NJ — In a late-night burglary, unidentified suspects targeted the Village Convenience Store at 109 Route 46 East, making off with a significant haul of lottery scratch-off tickets and cash. The store’s owner reported the break-in, which occurred when the perpetrators smashed the front glass door to gain entry.
The theft, involving 40 to 50 cases of lottery tickets and approximately $100 in cash from the register, along with an electronic payment transaction computer, was executed by four males. They arrived at the scene in a white 4-door Audi sedan with out-of-state license plates around 12:43 a.m. Using a rock to break the door, three of the suspects entered the store dressed in black attire, facemasks, and white gloves.
This incident was closely followed by a similar burglary at the Victory Mart at 12:31 a.m., with the same suspects implicated. Parsippany Police, assisted by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Section, are conducting an ongoing investigation into both incidents.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Parsippany Police Department’s Investigative Branch at 973-263-4300.
