This is what happens when you block a fire hydrant in New York City, firefighters injured

BROOKLYN, NY – You might think parking your car in front of a city fire hydrant isn’t a big deal, but Tuesday night it was. A two-alarm fire in Brooklyn was made a little more difficult after 6 residents and 2 firefighters were injured as fire fighters had to navigate around this car parked in front of a fire hydrant.

We’ve all seen pictures on the internet of firefighters breaking windows in cars or forcefully moving vehicles out of the way, but there was nothing funny about this incident.

“A vehicle blocked the fire hydrant at last night’s 2-alarm fire in Brooklyn. A total of 6 civilians and 2 Firefighters were injured. FDNY urges New Yorkers to NEVER park on a fire hydrant,” the NYFD said in a statement tonight.
