Three arrested after assault in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, Md. — Three individuals were arrested on Sunday afternoon following an alleged assault at a residence on Bedford Street, according to the Cumberland Police Department.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Bedford Street at approximately 4:17 p.m. after receiving reports of an assault in progress. The individuals involved were identified as Nikita Waller, 37, Kaitlin Bruckner, 38, and Chaunce Teele, 35. Authorities reported that the parties were disturbing the peace of nearby residents.

Waller, Bruckner, and Teele were charged with second-degree assault, disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and affray. The three were taken to Central Booking and later appeared before a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing.

Each of the defendants posted a $1,000 unsecured personal bond and was released following the hearing.
