PHILADELPHIA, PA — A barricade situation in Philadelphia’s 35th District early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of three individuals, police said.

The incident began at approximately 12:10 a.m. on the 1700 block of 67th Avenue when officers observed three males discharging firearms into the air. The suspects fled into a nearby property while still armed, prompting police to declare a barricade at 12:14 a.m.

A staging area was established at 67th Avenue and North Smedley Street as SWAT was notified. Police later cleared the property, and the three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

No injuries were reported during the operation, and the scene was held for investigation. The Northwest Detective Division is continuing its inquiry into the case.

Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
